... just got back from a wonderful visit to Bermuda. A gem of an island sitting way out by itself in the Atlantic.

South Coast Beaches - local folklore says that the beaches are pink because they're so beautiful, even the sand blushes - science says it's because red coloured organisms die and eventually decompose to mix with the sand.
Royal Naval Dockyard
Located on Bermuda's Ireland Island, and referred to as the "Gibraltar of the West", the Royal Naval Dockyard was built in the early 1800s - construction was aided by convicts and slaves shipped from England. Of the 9,000 convicts shipped to Bermuda, 2,000 perished during construction.
The facility is no longer a Royal Naval base and now houses an elegant collection of restaurants, pubs, gift shops and art galleries.
Hamilton
A vibrant, clean and gracious city wrapped in pastel hues.
St. George
Bermuda's fist settlement remains much as it was when buildings were constructed between the 17th and 19th centuries. Much effort has been made to ensure these "heritage" buildings are preserved.
